Programming employee swipe cards is a simple process that ensures smooth access control for your business. Below are the step-by-step instructions for assigning swipe cards to your employees:
Prerequisites:
Before proceeding with the card assignment process, ensure that you have access to a computer equipped with a magnetic card reader.
- Go to: Managers Menu -> Employee Maintenance -> (in the popup window, tap Employee Maintenance again)
- Tap Last Name and select an employee from the dropdown menu.
- In the Secondary Access Number field, tap in the box so that a curser appears
- Swipe the card (you should now see numbers in the box)
- Select Save
Notes
- Employees can have two access numbers. We recommend to keep a second access number for the employee in case the card is forgotten at home or lost.
- If you wish to only use the swipe cards, another manager will need to be availabe in order to go back to this employee screen to give the employee a new access number.
