Prepaying a takeout order

MicroSale allows you to manually take credit card information over the phone to prepay a phone order.

After you take the customer's order over the phone, you will be prompted to prepay the order. Select Yes to manually enter the customer's credit card information.

How to prepay or pay a deposit (partial amount) on the catering order:

1. Click on the “Pay Deposit or Partial Amount” button
2. 
3. This will take you to a screen to select payment type (i.e. cash or charge).
4. If charge is selected, you will be prompted to hand key.

Note:
An EMV device must be attached to your device in order to manually take prepayments.

Adding payment information after the order has been entered:

1. Select Phone Orders and then Edit/Close Phone Order
2. From the phone order management screen, touch Change Order / Customer Info 
3. A window opens; choose the appropriate phone order (selecting/touching anywhere in the row)
   
4. Select Pre Pay Order with Credit Card and enter in the card information. Select Done and Exit when completed (card information saves automatically).
   

   Note
   
   Pay Deposit allows you to pay a portion of the check. Deposits are useful for large preorders where you may want to collect a portion of the bill upfront.
   
   Print Receipt prints the customer receipt without forcing you to pay/close the order.
