Quickly import menus, discounts, and employee lists from another computer with one-click Access-to-SQL conversion.
How it works: MicroSale uses SQL for performance but backs up data to Access format for easy transfers. Access files are simple to copy between computers without complex SQL server configurations, scripts, or database detachment procedures.
Importing Menus
MicroSale's Version 10 Menu Importer converts Access databases to SQL, allowing quick import of menus, discounts, and employee lists from another computer.
Transfer Process:
Step 1: Copy Database Files
- Navigate to the Micro$ale folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Micro$ale - Copy these Access databases:
crmenu.mdb,menumods.mdb,discounts.mdb(andemployee.mdbif needed) - Paste files into the Micro$ale folder on the destination computer
Step 2: Import to SQL
- Launch the MicroSale application from the desktop.
- Go to Managers Menu -> Register setup -> Terminal Configuration -> Import Files from Access
- Files automatically convert—no additional steps required
