What's New (Highlights)
Updated Transaction Review
The revamped transaction review no longer requires the weekly sales backup files. When new weekly closeouts are ran, it still creates the backup files in the "daily backups" but it also writes the data to SQL. This creates a much more user-friendly review area, especially when reviewing transactions beyond the current week. Data is stored in the MSaleDataSQL database.
Consolidated the Functions.ini file
The Functions.ini will no longer be needed. The functions and settings found in that will now be stored in the MSaleDataSQL database. This change eliminates potential issues that can be caused when managing a separate INI file on every terminal. It also prevents potential issues caused from incorrect formatting or typos.
QR Code Payments
A QR code can print on the customer's receipt for payment. MicroSale Version 10 will support multiple platforms such as Redfin Payments, SimpleTab (EVO), and Datacap solutions.
Small-form tablet mode
Version 10 now offers a small-form portrait mode, designed for 6" tablets. The new design includes larger buttons and simplified options to accommodate the small screens. Designed for taking orders and closing checks, all unnecessary options have been removed, drastically speeding up the software.
Redesigned self-service kiosk software
The self-service software’s user experience is designed so that anyone can seamlessly use the application.
The design is clean and minimalistic to cut down on distractions and potential confusion.
Other Additions
You can now add separator lines between menu items on remote tickets. This change makes it easier for kitchen staff to read tickets. (Located under Receipt Lines in the new ini section of Register Options).
Archived Additions
- You can now text customers when their pickup order is ready - (requires texting subscription)
- Added “Close House Account” Paid Out; this was designed for employees or customers that use prepaid accounts who would like to close the account and collect the remaining balance. “Close House Account” allows you to close the account and pays out the balance as a Paid Out
- You can create this in the Paid Out setup area and link the paid out to an house account
- A quantity number is now added in front of modifier names when using Quantity with menu items and modifier printer routing. For example, if you ring in ‘Quantity 2’ > Cheeseburger > Fries, and the fries route off to a specific printer, it now appears as (2) Fries. Previously, only ‘Fries’ as a singular item was appearing on the kitchen video/ticket.
