The text-insertion integration sends the employee’s name, items entered, time/date of transaction, and the payment media used. Integrating the text insertion with the camera system helps cut down theft and saves time when investigating potential theft or questionable transactions.
The Transaction Review (transaction log) allows you to search keywords, timestamps, employees, and more so that you can find your video clips faster than ever.
Establishing a Connection Between MicroSale and the DVR System
The streamlined interface facilitates the transmission of text strings from the MicroSale system to a designated IP address and port configured on the MicroSale POS terminal.

Ensure your DVR/Camera system supports text overlay. Review the technical specifications and documentation to confirm compatibility.Connecting MicroSale to the DVR Device:
- Navigate to Managers Menu -> Register Options -> Terminal Configuration -> Printers / Devices Setup
From Attached Devices Setup:
- Navigate to the section, Text Output to Video
- Set the IP address of the DVR and the port of the camera for text transmission.
- Specify DVR IP Address and Camera Port: Provide the DVR's IP address and the camera's port where you want the register to send text.
- Perform a test transaction on the POS system. Observe the DVR footage to ensure accurate text overlay reflecting transaction data. Adjust settings if needed.
