Turning the “terminal name – license status” bar into a shortcut button to launch TeamViewer QuickSupport:
- Copy the TeamViewer QuickSupport exe file into the Micro$ale directory.
- Copy the RemoteSupport.ini file into the INI Files sub-folder in the Micro$ale directory. (to access the directory, go to your local disk > Program Files (or Program Files (x86) > Micro$ale)
- Edit the ini file, and add the filename of the TeamViewer QuickSupport exe file from step #1 above enclosed in quotation marks as shown in the attached example.
- Copy the AddOnPrograms.dat file into the Dat Files sub-folder in the Micro$ale directory.
- Edit the dat file, and add the filename of the TeamViewer QuickSupport exe file from step #1 above enclosed in quotation marks with the full directory path to the file as shown in the attached example. Be sure to use C:\Program Files (x86)\Micro$ale\ for 64-bit operating systems.
The AddOnPrograms.dat file will also add the shortcut to the Options List on the Managers Menu in MicroSale, so they will be able to launch TeamViewer from either the ID Screen or the Managers Menu without exiting out to Windows. This is why there is a name for the (Options List) button before the path to the exe file in the AddOnPrograms.dat file. The button name must also be enclosed in quotation marks and separated by a comma as shown in the attached example.
You can also add other shortcut buttons to the Options List by adding them into the AddOnPrograms.dat file in the same format as above.
