Instead of physically counting how many bagels are left, you can set the quantity each morning. The buttons display a remaining quantity so you always know what's in stock.
When the count of an item becomes low, it shows “Low Stock Warning” along with the quantity left in stock on the chalkboard of the ID Screen. The menu item button will display the quantity available on the order screen, unless there is a logo image on the button which hides the count. If Servers try to ring up an item that has already counted down to zero, a message appears “Menu Item is out of stock. Item has been 86”.
Editing or disabling Low Item Warning
Managers Menu > Register Setup > Terminal Configuration > Register Options > Global > Set "Low Item Warning Displays @" > Enter desired threshold > Save
To Disable: Set "Low Item Warning Displays @" to '0'
Automatically reset out of stock items after the closeout
(Optional Setting) This is helpful for those who use the Menu Countdown feature but consistently forget to reset the numbers.
Misc Functions: [Daily Close] header > Reset Daily Countdown=No (by default) and change to Yes.
Troubleshooting
Problem: Low stock warning is not updating after the number available is reset.
Solution: The low stock warning is written to the menucountdown database in SQL. In the change that the low stock warning does not update, restart MicroSale. Restarting the software should update the databases.
