In the event that MicroSale loses connection to the file server, you will be prompted with a message that says "no connection to SQL server. Connect to backup server?" If you select yes then the terminal will set itself to stand-alone mode in order to allow you to keep using the register. This is fine for a 2 terminal site.
If it is a site that is using multiple registers then go you will need to set another register as the file server by setting the "check file server", "main server", and gift/house/frequent server" to (local) and then on the remaining terminals you want to set the server names to the name of the register that is set as the new server. The easiest way to get into the Terminal Configuration page is to open the "MSSqlSetup.exe" utility located in the Micro$ale folder.
