Getting Started: Training Guide
1. ID Screen Overview
- Check Date & Time: Ensure the correct time is displayed on each terminal.
- Verify Terminal Info:
- Look for the grey box showing Terminal Name (e.g., POS1).
- Confirm the license status says “Licensed.” If it says “Days remaining,” verify your internet connection and contact support.
- Log In:
- Enter your assigned ID #.
- Use the ID to access the Time Clock, Manager Menu, or Ordering Screen.
- Chalkboard Display: Use the chalkboard area to view business name, address, and any custom messages or promotions.
2. Manager Menu (Part 1) - Basic Employee Setup
- Open Employee Maintenance:
- Choose from Employee Maintenance (for adding/editing employees), Change Access (to adjust access numbers), or Scheduler (to create schedules if enabled).
- Time Clock Functions:
- Use Edit Employee Time to adjust clock-in and clock-out times.
- Select Edit Tips to modify cash tips claimed by servers/bartenders.
- Start Audit: Begin an audit for an employee manually or set it to start automatically.
3. Employee Record Management
- Terminate vs. Remove:
- Terminate an employee to disable their profile but retain records (they’ll no longer appear in payroll).
- Use Remove to permanently delete an employee profile.
4. Time Clock Functions
- Edit Employee Time: Adjust clock times or add shifts.
- Edit Tips: Modify claimed cash tips.
- Send Employee Messages:
- Select specific employees, departments, or all employees.
- Write and set a delivery date for messages.
- View Messages: For managers to review messages if not clocking in.
5. Order Screen
- View Tab Details: See tab name, seat number, and check total at the top.
- Select Category: Choose item categories from the right side.
- Choose Menu Items:
- Select items to add to the check.
- Follow prompts for modifiers if needed.
- Use Function Buttons: Quick access options like Quantity, Repeat Item, and Void/Delete for adjusting orders.
6. Server Menu Functions
- Split Check:
- Tap Split Check, choose the check/tab, and add new virtual checks if needed.
- Move items between checks, then select Done to save.
- Transfer Table: Transfer a table from one server to another.
- Merge Table: Combine checks when tables are joined.
- Apply Tip: Enter a tip amount for a check.
- Phone Order: Enter a phone order for pickup or delivery, filling out details like pickup time and delivery instructions.
7. Server Report (Audit)
- Close Individual Audits:
- Select a server from the list and choose Close Server Audit.
- Confirm if you'd like to close the audit.
- Close All Audits: Choose Close All Server Audits to save time; confirm to proceed for each audit.
8. Managers Menu (Part 2) - Transactions
- Void Check: For same-day orders, void items by selecting the check, confirming items, and choosing a void reason.
- Refund Menu: For orders from previous days, process refunds by entering the refund amount and selecting payment type.
- Transaction Review: View receipts from past dates by selecting search criteria.
9. Daily Close
- Prepare for Close Out: Ensure all orders and audits are closed. Only future phone orders can remain open.
- Run Close Out:
- Select Daily Close from the Manager Menu.
- Enter any cash deposits and use the Calculator if needed.
- Confirm to finalize the close-out process.
