Enabling the Wait List
The wait list option is by individual terminal. You will need to enable this option on each terminal that needs to use this feature;
Register Setup > Terminal Configuration > Register Options > Full Service > Additional Options > tick the checkbox Enable Customer Wait List > Finished With Section > Save
Customizing confirmation and table ready texts:
Register Setup > Terminal Configuration > Misc. Configuration Page > Misc Utilities > Text Message Setup
Using the Wait List
- Select Show Seating (from the ID screen)
- Select Waiting List
- Select Add Name
You’ll be first prompted to enter the number in party, followed by the customer’s name - Select the seating preference or First for first available
- Enter the minutes for the quote time.
Once you begin to seat parties, the estimated quote time will appear in the lower corner of the screen (based on the time a party is entered to the time the party is seated)

Enter the cell number with the area code when prompted. On your side, you’ll receive a confirmation that the text has been sent or you’ll receive a failure message (if the number is invalid). The customer will immediately receive a text message. Ask the customer to view their phone to ensure the text has sent.
Customer receives the following message with the restaurant name and the wait time quoted by the host:
- When the table is ready, touch the yellow box under Send Text. The box will now show the time the first text was sent.
- Select Yes to send the “table is ready” text

You will receive a “Success – Confirmed” message
The customer will receive a text alerting them that their table is ready:

If the customer does not respond, a second text can be sent by touching the Send Text box.
- Touch the checkbox next to seated, when the customer is at the host station and is ready to be sat
- You’ll be prompted to choose a table on the table layout. Select the appropriate table. Confirm the number in party when prompted.
