If a customer forgets their wallet in the car or needs to pause the transaction briefly, you can put this order on hold (or pause) so that you can take the next customer’s order so your line keeps moving.
Putting a transaction on hold
- Once the items are ordered the check can be placed on hold. After ringing the items touch the Hold
- Type in the customer name and then touch Done.
Recalling the Held Check
- Select On Hold. A list of all the checks on hold will appear. Select the correct order.
- More items can be added to the check and touch Done. Items can be added and touch Close Check to close the check.
Set Up
Enable the register option for open tabs
- Enable open tabs first by going to Manager Menu > Register Setup > Terminal Configuration > Register Options > Quick Service > enable "Turn on open tabs for this station", Save.
Add the Hold Check function button
- Manager Menu > Register Setup > Terminal Configuration > Edit Order Screen Buttons
- Find Hold Check in the list and add it to a button. Save.
