Merging Tables/Tabs
Merge Table allows you to combine checks together. This is helpful when a customer wants to join with another party’s check and both tables have already ordered.
- Select the Merge Table button (from the Server Screen)
- Touch the table you want to merge (not the destination of the merge!)
- At the top of the screen, Select Destination Table prompts
- Now touch the table you want to merge the first table with
- A confirmation message prompts and a new check number is issued
Splitting and Unsplitting Tables/Tabs
You can split a check from the server menu or order screen
Splitting a check from the server menu
- Select the Split Check button first then select the check/tab/table
- Select “Add Joiner” to add another virtual check to the screen (you can do this as many times as needed)
- Select the item(s) you wish to move to another check
- Select the other virtual check to add these items to it
- Select Done when you are finished or Exit to not save your changes
- On the server menu, the check is now separated into multiple checks.
- The Undo Split function reconsolidates all of the menu items on the check. This is helpful when mistakes are made or when one guest decides to pay the entire check.
Splitting a check from the order screen
Alternately, to splitting a check from the server menu, you can separate the check and split items from the order screen. The Split Check function on the order screen offers more options for splitting up the check; you can split individual menu items in addition to separating items on separate checks.
-
- After you are finished taking the order, Select Split Check
- Select Add Joiner to add new seats
- Highlight an item, or multiple items, and touch the white area to move the item(s) to a different Seat. If you need to highlight all items, you can select the blue header at the top of each seat to move all items over.
- Select Done when completed.
From this screen, you can do other tasks as well. Even Split is used when you want to evenly distribute an item or items across multiple seats. Split Item works similarly, however, it will not automatically allocate to separate seats (Even Split is simply a shortcut to approach to Split Item). If you need to regroup seats back together, you can touch the blue header (where it shows the seat number and move all items to a seat) or you can select Group Seats which offers the same ability with fewer touches.
Paying by Separate Seats
**Update: you can use the shortcut function, Pay Seat, on the order screen to bypass the "Split Payment" screen.
- Select Split Check from the Server Menu or from the Order Screen
- Select the appropriate check
- Select Pay Seat
- When prompted, select the appropriate seat number
- Now on the payment screen, choose the appropriate payment method
- After payment is taken, you’ll be taken back to the Split Check screen. The paid seat clears.
Evenly split all items on check (Even Split)
Split all items into even parts and allocate the item(s) to multiple seats at once using “Even Split”.
- Select Split Check from the Server Menu
- Select the appropriate check
- Select Even Split
- When prompted, select the number of times you wish to split the item. When you select Done, it will automatically split everything by the selected domination on separate seats
