In MicroSale, you can replace the side logo with your restaurant logo, change the background, add additional text, add your own table layout backgrounds and more.

Using Dealer Logo (or Restaurant Logo) on the ID Screen
- Create a logo in .bmp format 91px wide and 768px high.
- Copy this image into the C:\Program Files\Micro$ale\Picture Files\ directory, if 32 bit or C:\Program Files (x86)\Micro$ale\Picture Files\ directory, if 64 bit.
- Create a file with notepad called “DealerLogo.dat”.
- Open the dat file and type the name of the image file into the “DealerLogo.dat” file such as bmp
- Save the “DealerLogo.dat” file to the C:\Program Files\Micro$ale\Dat Files\ directory, if 32 bit or C:\Program Files\Micro$ale\Dat Files\ directory, if 64 bit
Setting up a Custom Background
- Create a bmp image to be used for the background with the resolution 1024x768px.
- Create a file with notepad called “Introbackground.dat”
- Open Introbackground.dat” and type in the name of your image (such as “yourcompanylogo.bmp”; etc.).
- Save the .dat file to the C:\Program Files\Micro$ale\Dat Files\ directory, if 32 bit or C:\Program Files (x86)\Micro$ale\Dat Files\ directory, if 64 bit.
Custom background defaults to a black background when running MicroSale is a screen resolution over than 1024x768
Adding Text Information to the ID Screen
You can add your company contact information to the toolbar. However, “Micro$ale Copyright Software Inc.” and the Version # and Serial # cannot be removed for copyright reasons.
- Create a file with notepad called “Dealer.dat”.
- Type in your company information using the following format “My Company Name www.website.com 800.123.1234”.
- Save the file to the C:\Program Files\Micro$ale\Dat Files\ directory, if 32 bit or C:\Program Files (x86)\Micro$ale\Dat Files\ directory, if 64 bit
Setting up Custom Screensaver with Logo
(Windows 10)
Go to Settings > Personalization > Lock screen, and select Screen saver settings. In the Screen Saver Settings window, choose a screen saver from the drop-down list.
By default, Windows 10 offers six screensavers – 3D Text, Blank, Bubbles, Mystify, Photos and Ribbons. Select the screensaver from the drop-down menu and change its defaults Settings, if available.
The Photos screensaver allows you to pick a custom picture or logo.
Add Customer Logo on 80 Column Reports
Paste your customer’s logo bitmap file into c:\Program Files\Micro$ale\Picture Files directory.
- Sign on with Manager # and go to Managers Menu
- Select Register Setup, Paths-Terminal Setup, System Paths Setup
- Click on blank box beside Path to Logo
- Browse to your customer’s logo.bmp file in the MicroSale directory.
- Double click on that logo file. This puts the proper bitmap in the Path To Logo field.
- Select Save and Exit
Add Customer’s Logo to Receipt
Note: logo must be in bitmap format, monochrome (solid black), and within 300x250px.
- Copy/paste logo bitmap file into c:\Program Files\Micro$ale\Picture Files directory.
- Sign on with Manager # and go to Managers Menu
- Go to Register Setup, Printers/Device Setup
- Select “Esc” button (This automatically fills in the Escape Codes.)
- Select “Browse” button and click on your customer’s .bmp for their logo.
- Select “Save”. (Logo .bmp will appear in the box to the left of “Browse”.)
- Select “Load Logo to Printer” (Shows “Please wait while resetting printer.”) Click OK
