Error 94: "Invalid Use of Null"

This means there is an empty field in a database or it is not in the expected format. This can be caused by database corruption. This error is fixed by searching the database to delete the blank or incorrect field or by correcting the database all together.

To prevent this error and other database corruption in the future, move the site over to SQL. SQL is a more stable environment than Access. Please contact your MicroSale representative to do this for you.

Error 94 when running closeout/batch; "Invalid use of null"

The port was changed to the report printer. It was moved to the correct port.

When running Sales Report, Error 94; "Invalid use of null"

Calculate Labor Must enter "" in each ‘Punch Out’ field  in Time Records database that is empty for the record to get rid of the null Error 94 invalid use of null when trying to settle batch (using SQL)

1. Run the MSaleDatabaseUpgrade for SQL and Access. You will then be able to settle the batch without the message.
2. If the void charge that created the issue is still there, please do the following:
   1. Open SQL Server Management Studio
   2. Go to approvalsSQL database and select 'edit top 200 records'. 
   3. Delete the record in question from the database.
