You can manage how receipts print and control when to print them.
All of the following options are located in: Managers Menu > Register Setup > Terminal Configuration > Register Options > Printing / Cash Drawer
Disable receipt printing
When this option is enabled then a receipt will no longer print automatically when a check is closed.
Disable receipts for a cash sale
This option disables receipts from printing when an order is tendered to cash only. This option does not affect credit card, gift cards, or any other non-cash tender.
Printing multiple copies of receipts
Copy(s) of receipts:
This option sets the number of customer receipts MicroSale prints for each order. This option can be use with any mode of operation. The default is "1". If changes are made, select Save before exiting.
Set the type of receipt that prints for closed checks
"Prints for what closing an open check"
This option sets the close check slip for server close check slips in Full Service mode, cashier close check slips in Centralized Check Closing mode, and call in order close check slips in all modes of operation. The two choices available are "Receipt" which prints a full customer receipt and "Chit" which prints a slimmed down version of the receipt with the server name, check number, table number, check total, and tender type, but it does not have the individual items.
Configuration: This option is only used if Print Slip When Check is Closed on the Full Service Options tab is checked.
Turn off house / gift card receipt
When this option is enabled then MicroSale will not print signature slips when a transaction is closed to Gift Card or House Account. Itemized customer receipt will still print unless receipt printing is disabled.
Setting up Email Receipts
Within MicroSale Version 9.0.300 or higher you now have the ability to email the customer their receipt instead of printing it. Please follow this guide for email setup.
The receipt not printing for prepaid delivery orders?
By default, when a phone order is placed the customer receipt prints immediately after the "done" button is touched. When this option is enabled the receipt does not print until the order is closed.
Manager Menu > Register Setup -> Terminal Configuration > Register Options > Phone Orders > Phone Order Printing Options > Remove check mark from "Print receipt when phone order is closed"
Printing the text of menu items larger
You can change the escape codes to change the font size of the menu items.
Version 9 and Below (this setting is retired in Version 10 you can close checks with a $0 balance without this option)
Closing a check with a zero balance
Managers Menu > Register Setup > Terminal Configuration > Register Options > Full Service > Check “Close checks with no balance"
By default, you cannot cash out a $0.00 balance check. This helps prevent theft by not allowing all items to be voided or discounted off of a check and then closed out.
