Modifier Groups are used to customize menu items. For example, in a chicken meal order, you'll be prompted to pick the pieces and sides.
Modifier Tabs: These tabs show modifier groups connected to the menu item you’re modifying, like toppings or sides. The active group is highlighted in blue.
Easily identify all modifier groups attached to a menu item:
- The modifier group you're currently on is highlighted
- A red or gray stripe above the modifier choices indicates whether the modifier group is required or optional
Moving On from Optional Groups
For optional groups, tap Done to move on once you've made your selections.
Navigating Out of Sequence
- Tap on any of the tabs to navigate out of sequence
- If you leave a required group without making a choice, you'll be returned to that group when you exit another screen.
- The tab turns red as a reminder
Understanding Selection Requirements
- The header on the right shows what you're changing. It also displays if there's a selection requirement.
- If a specific quantity is required, it will show how many selections are needed
- If you can choose as many modifiers as you want, it will display as "Select Until Done." Tap "Done" when finished
Deleting and swapping modifiers (while still on the modifier screen):
- To erase a modifier, simply tap on it.
- Just ensure you're on the right modifier group screen.
- For instance, to remove 'Wedges' from 'Sides', you need to be in the 'Sides' tab, and not ‘Drinks’.
Note: If you delete a required side, you'll need to choose another.
Swapping modifiers from the virtual check
- Tap a modifier to swap it The corresponding modifier group is recalled
- Tap a new selection to change. Changes can only be made before sending the check to the kitchen.
Deleting Single Line Items
You can delete any line item, including menu items and modifiers, without deleting the entire order
- Tap Delete Item then tap on the specific line item you want to remove
- Note: items can only be deleted before they're kitchen-bound
- Tap on Delete Item followed by the desired modifier
